Phosphate Coating

Use #1: As a pre-treatment for coating
Advantages: Facilitates a high density, uniform coating with suitable thickness

Use #2: Rust Prevention

Description

This is a type of nickel-containing heavy zinc phosphate for iron and steel. The weight of the coating produced by this process exceeds 2,000mg/sqft. Under atmospheric conditions, phosphate coating delivers a largely stable surface finish with high corrosion resistance and electrical insulation. An additional sealing process gives the coating resistance to the corrosive effects of substances such as acid, alkali, ammonia, sea water and water vapor. Furthermore, the formation of a porous structure of crystalline phosphates allows for optimal absorption of oil. Therefore, it is frequently used under a coat of paint, or as a lubricant to reduce the coefficient of friction.

Advantage

  • Friction coefficient may be adjusted according to customer requirements
  • Resistance to corrosion: 120 hours (according to customer requirements)
  • Optimal oil absorption
  • Electrical insulation
